This application is a complete balanced heavy fertilizer with a liquid broad leaf control.  Fall is the optimum time to control perennial broad leaf weeds because they are transporting food from their foliage to their roots in preparation for winter.  Broad leaf herbicides applied at this time will be absorbed by the weed's foliage and transported to the roots resulting in the destruction of the weeds.

 

Fall is a most important time to fertilize the lawn as it promotes root development, enhances storage of food reserves and promotes early green-up the following spring.  If getting any application this would be the most beneficial fertilizer application, although it does not control spring crabgrass which is why we always suggest getting at least spring and fall applications.
